GOLDEN KNIGHT'S RULE!!! - May 14th letter

Ok. Well this was a HUGE week of miracles. So let's get rolling.
Bonus picture of me in a dinosaur costume
First off: SHOUT OUT TO THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS. Wahoo!!!! First miracle. Good job beating the Sharks!!
Except they lost the first game to the Jets. We can't watch the games but we ask people about it all the time and show our support to the best expansion sports team in the history of any sport. This is the first expansion team of any sport in the history of sports to ever make it this far in their first season. It's so hyped up around here that it makes me super excited because everyone else is excited. The hype rubs off on the missionaries.

Birthdays: Happy late birthday to Mrs. Treto. Happy birthday today to Nathan Jones but I don't think he's on my list so it doesn't really matter that it's his birthday. Although, he is getting married soon. And happy birthday on this upcoming Sunday to Sister Hunter. I love you all and hope all your birthdays are great.

Miracles:
We had two awesome miracles this week.
1. We are riding down the street and decide to turn down a random street to go to someones house. We see this man walking and asked how his day was. He said it was rough then asked if we were in Dove Canyon [ward]. We told him yes then he asked if we knew "so and so". He said he was gonna be baptized a few years ago but then went to jail. We met with him again and he still wants to be baptized and so we set him on date. We just had a random prompting to turn down this street and there he is. It was super awesome.
I'm still a child at heart.
I love getting happy meals.

2. We have an investigator who has been taking the lessons for a long time. Her husband was baptized a few years ago. We had a lesson with her and out of no where, she says she wants to be baptized.  So we set her for June 2nd. We are so excited. They said that my old companion really helped her grow and they want him to do the baptism.

Funny/crazy stories:
Nothing insane has happened this week. Sorry that the stories are getting more and more boring. I don't think anything is gonna happen this week. Except I did go scorpion hunting last night with bishop and Elder Brinkerhoff. We ended up killing 6 scorpions. It's so cool that they glow up from a black light.

Mothers day:
This was yesterday on our video
chat call for mothers day. Don't mind
my dad's face. I don't think he was
paying attention. I loved seeing the family.
Talking to the family was awesome. I got to talk to my family and then my sister and Ellen [like a 2nd sister] and Mele [her roommate] while they were up in Idaho. It was super awesome and I loved seeing them. I wish all of you could have seen my face and heard my voice. But it was awesome. I love my mother and my family.

Spiritual thought:
I just want to share my testimony of the Word of Wisdom. I know the church seems to have a ton of rules but it's really just guardrails to protect us and keep us healthy. D&C 89 is so awesome and I love it. I know that you can stay spiritually and physically healthy. They aren't there to restrict us but to protect us.

Anyway, I'm loving the work and loving the people. It's awesome here in Vegas. I sometimes forget I'm in Vegas and then I see the strip and then I'm like "Oh wait, I'm in Vegas. This is super awesome." I love myself some Vegas sun.

Thanks for the emails and letters and support. You are all amazing. I appreciate the love and prayers. I miss you all and thanks for everything you are all doing.

Love you all,

Send me letters. I haven't gotten anything in a couple weeks.

I only took 2 pictures this week and they were both taken yesterday and today. I told you it's been pretty boring.

Transfers - May 8th letter

We did service the other
day and I was just sitting
there drinking water while
Elder Waters did the work.
I probably won't have time for a group email this week. Super awesome week though. Here's some pics. There was a huge thunderstorm last Tuesday.[Those pictures didn't transfer over in his e-mail] We went and played in it then had to ride our bikes in the rain. It was super fun. Transfer calls came. I'm with. Elder Brinkerhoff now but in the same area. I'm excited. A few days ago, a sisters apartment in our complex got broken into while they were in there and the one sister who is staying [in this same area] refuses to stay [in that apartment]. So I got a call yesterday afternoon that I had to pack and move to another apartment. It was a short walk but stressful this morning having to move everything over and cleaning it [our apartment] for it to be clean for the sister's.

I'm skipping birthdays this week because I don't have my calendar on me and I only know of one birthday that's happening today.
It's been an amazing week though. I love the work. And I only have 6 weeks left until I find out if I'll be serving the rest of the 2 years.

My farewell talk will be June 24th if I stay. So everyone just plan on that.

We partied with ice cream
last night. I was eating out
of a tub and talking about
girls last night so I
definitely felt like a loser. Haha
The night of transfer calls,
this is how we partied.
  My totally awesome district.
  It's staying the same except
     Elder Waters is leaving.

I spit water on the floor and
it turned out to be a question
mark and a bear claw. This
was super awesome. I
swear it was all an accident.

love you all and thanks for the support.

Taco Bell Backpack Date - April 30th letter

I finally got some
Inca kola, this was also
the same day that I went
on a soda diet... Oops
Nothing really happened this week so this email is gonna be quick and short.

Birthdays: happy later birthday to my companion Elder Waters!! Also happy later birthday to Ms. Clabaugh. My awesome AP Calc teacher. Happy birthday to Shayan and Granger next Sunday. 2 awesome dudes that are totally awesome. Haha. Anyway, I hope everyone has awesome birthdays.

Funny stories: had an hour long theological conversation about God's love for all of his children. It was hilarious just because of the guys personality.

Miracles: we've been struggling lately to find new investigators and also to meet our goals. We had a goal to find 3 new investigators this week and Tuesday we found 3 new ones and met our goal and then didn't find anymore throughout the week. But they are solid. One of them is 2 high schoolers that was supposed to be a referral from a couple weeks ago but it never got sent and we just so happened to see them and find out that they talked to missionaries a couple weeks ago. They seem solid.

Stake conference: we had stake conference and it was focused on members ministering. Also, my comp saw his sister because she lives in the stake so that was kinda weird. It was fun though.
BACKPACK TACO BELL DATE.
For those who don't know the
back story, I used to go to Taco
Bell after donating plasma and
I would have my backpack with
me and would put it in the chair
in front of me. One day I decided
to post on snapchat that I was
on a date with my backpack
and then it became a tradition.

Anyway, nothing else happened. Now it's just getting to the point of it just being normal missionary life and me not wanting to bore you guys. Although, if you personally email me, I will probably have a ton to say. Haha. Email me and ask me questions and I can definitely answer them.

Thanks for the thoughts, prayers, emails and letters.

Also just a PSA: we have transfers next week so I won't be emailing until Tuesday. But keep writing me. Also send me your address if you want a letter. I love writing letters and I didn't buy stamps for nothing. Haha.

I drew a picture of everyone
on P-days. This is just a
little part of my zone.

We went scorpion hunting
with our Bishop. We are
gonna go buy a black light
today so we can do it
all the time.

Oh and here's my zone at Zone Conference
