To be honest, I don't have much content for this one, so I don't know what to write. Anyway, I'm proud to announce that I'm serving a mission. I also didn't proofread this.
I am serving a 3-month trial mission in the Las Vegas west mission. I leave March 28th. After the 3 months then I will come home for a week to get some stuff done and then head back out and might be assigned to a new mission. Anyway, I am glad it has finally come.
So am I excited? Heck yeah!! Honestly, I'm just really happy that they are giving me a chance. I have waited almost 2 years to finally serve. Them allowing me to show myself and try to serve is a great opportunity and I'm excited. Even if I come home after the 3 months I will still be thankful for the opportunity to serve. I know that whether I serve for one week, 3 months, or 2 years, I have still served the Lord and accomplished something. These 3 months will probably be the hardest because this is my opportunity to show that I am mentally and emotionally stable to serve and control myself. I know that it won't be easy and that it will truly be a huge trial in my life. But I am so ready for this trial and I can't wait for this trial to start.
Anyway, one thing I want to remind everyone is that missions are great!! And it doesn't matter how long someone serves. It doesn't matter if you come home early. If you come home early for whatever reason, you are still loved by Heavenly Father and you are amazing. For members, DON'T JUDGE DANG MISSIONARIES FOR COMING HOME EARLY. Even if it turns out that they murdered someone on their mission, it isn't for you to judge. However, it's already bad enough that they are shunned, judged, hated, and looked down upon. To have people add on to that is wrong and doesn't matter. When a missionary comes home early, you need to reach out to them and support them. Show them you love them. Tell them they are great and try to hang out with them. They need to know that people out there care about them and don't assume things about them.
Anyway, VEGAS HERE I COME!!!! I'm actually super stoked except I don't have any part of the strip. Haha. I love the Jolly Ranchers from the Hershey's store so maybe I'll have a member go buy me some.
